Sarah Arnett’s collection is available in 70 stores worldwide including Harvey Nichols in London & Dubai. The complete collection is also available in Sarah’s Brighton store, Simultane. Before starting her company in 2002 Sarah worked as a textile designer with labels such as Maxmara, Calvin Klein & DKNY. Sarah’s love of print and colour is the essence of the collection which has featured in Vogue, Elle, Harper’s amongst others. A bridal made-to-order and bespoke service is also available through Simultane.
Managing Director Simon Beals runs the Brighton operation with Sarah, overseeing day to day wholesale operations as well as the growing retail side to the business. The bespoke bridal made-to-order service coupled to the retail premises adds a huge volume to the sheer day to day management functions. “...we were using an off the shelf POS system which didn’t suit our needs. The inability to link the system directly to an e-commerce site got us looking at alternatives, especially as there will be further retail expansion. We don’t want to change systems again because of growth...” explains Simon. “...ease of use throughout the company as well as logical processes inside LOIS had us look at the system in detail. The sheer ability to grow with the system is a huge factor in making choices.
A modular POS was supplied suiting existing Counter design along with the latest ELO Touch screen and integrated Chip & Pin. With 14 network users in the building, extensive networking controls had to be put in place, high levels of security and Quality Of Service (QOS) management.
Simon was keen to maintain his relationship with his existing web designer so the Web Site was entirely constructed using the LOIS Website API rather than a LOIS template skin. Simons web-designer has full access and control over the non-dynamic pages. www.saraharnett.co.uk
Plans are now underway to expand the web business to multiple sites all looking at specific stock ranges. This will be achieved entirely through their existing LOIS website engine.
